Contributions to Industry

Since Barclays Bank International was established primarily to promote and strengthen rapid industrialization in all sectors of the economy; the Bank has two distinct operations, the Development Banking Division and the Banking Operation Division.

Barclays provides financial assistance and the Bank’s services are made available to all deserving enterprises in both the private and public sectors covering agriculture, forestry and fishing, mining and quarrying, manufacturing, construction, commerce & finance, transport, storage & communication.

Recently, the Bank took delivery of 197 road construction equipment, including loaders, excavators and graders. This was aimed at enhancing the capacity of the local contractors to enable them to execute jobs effectively. This would also enable them to compete with foreign contractors.
